The harsh reality

When it comes to money I am honest with all of you. I ran an unsuccessful blog, changed niches at least 5 times, did not deliver on time for my freelance work, and tried to talk about the most controversial topic right now, covid.

I went online wanting attention, wanting money, and wanting internet fame. Ever since I was a child I wanted to be an author and now I am, but it is still not good enough.

There are issues with choosing which platform you want to grow on and sticking to it. There are problems with becoming a freelance writer overall, and it sucks sticking to one niche or a set of niches when your interest is so wide.

For instance, if you go through my work you can see articles on philosophy, psychology, writing, and scientific articles on the pandemic. You go on my Instagram and I talk about an even more diverse set of topics.

I am sure plenty of you are brilliant and know many different areas… why tie yourself down to one thing? Why write about only one topic? Why listen to other people on medium tell you contradicting things when it comes to making money?

I believe the answer is to try different things and see what sticks. Blogging did not work for me originally, having a premium substack newsletter did not make me much money…
